The Levine JCC has now raised nearly $5.3 million since the start of their Capital Campaign in 2014. The campaign has received significant support from Charlotte’s business community, including the support of Bank of America at the Grand Benefactor level ($100,000 – $249,000) and the Wells Fargo Foundation at the Grand Patron level ($40,000 – $59,000).

Charlotte Stories was given a tour of the facility and an exclusive interview with the CEO, Peter Blair;

The purpose of their capital campaign is to build a foundation for their community’s future and the results have been remarkable so far.

They’ve already invested $750,000 in Camp Mindy, their year-round facility that houses our award winning after school program, J Team, their Mother’s Morning Out program, J Tots, and Charlotte’s best summer day camp, Camp Mindy. Plus, more than $150,000 in improvements to the Fitness complex; including a new Sport Court in the Pavilion, a new floor in the David Silverman Fitness center and JForce room, and a renovated second floor Dance Studio.

The impact of the pledges will be evident as they continue to make enhancements by updating the locker rooms, expanding their fitness areas, and redesigning their aquatics complex beginning this summer.
