Sustain Charlotte to Hold Fourth Annual Biketoberfest

287

Discover how easy it is to get around Charlotte without driving at Sustain Charlotte’s fourth annual Biketoberfest presented by The Charlotte Knights happening Sunday, October 14. This unique event will take you along a bike route with stops at fun destinations along the way and will culminate with an after-party at Triple C Brewing Co. We are even partnering with the Charlotte Department of Transportation to create a one-day pilot protected bike lane on 6th Street. There will also be a shorter, more family-friendly route, so bring the kids! As you make your stops, collect stamps on your official Biketoberfest passport. The stamps will be entered in a raffle for prizes! The more destinations you visit, the more chances you’ll have to win.

Sustain Charlotte started this event in 2015 as a fun way to promote biking for transportation to Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents. Last year almost 600 people attended and we had 100 volunteers! Not only does bicycling for transportation promote a healthier lifestyle, but it also reduces transportation costs as well as air pollution and carbon emissions.
