Ramsey Creek Beach Set To Re-Open Sunday Morning After Friday’s No-Swim Advisory

TheBeach1The no-swim advisory for Mecklenburg Counties First Beach was just lifted yesterday by County officials.

On Friday morning, the county discovered higher than normal levels of fecal bacteria in the water around Ramsey Creek Beach, and decided to put in place a ‘no swim advisory’ – essentially shutting the beach down.

After yesterdays testing, bacteria levels have dramatically decreased to a level that is now deemed safe for swimmers.

Officials will officially re-open the beach to swimmers this morning (7/24) at 10 a.m.

Here are the current results from the water testings around the beach.
