Police are now asking for the public’s help in finding a local missing teen.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Amy Jo Helms was last seen leaving her residence on Noles Circle in Lincolnton, NC sometime after 1 a.m. on January 22, 2018.
Police do not know what direction she was headed.
She may be in the company of Daryl Bennett of Mt. Airy, N.C.
Amy Jo Helms is described as a 5’6″ white female with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and cowboy boots. She was also carrying a backpack and a tote bag, according to officials.
