Yesterday afternoon the Panthers took on the Falcons in their last game of the regular season down in Atlanta.
With Jonathan Stewart sitting out his first game of 2017 due to back issues, Cam Newton and the Carolina offense failed to produce much on offense.
They were tied 7-7 going into halftime, then allowed Atlanta to score 5 field goals in the second half and ended up losing the game 10-22.

The Falcons (10-6) were fighting for their playoff spot – they’ll be playing a wildcard game next week against the Rams.
The Panthers (11-5) had already clinched their playoff spot last week, but will now settle for a wild-card spot instead of the NFC South title. We have a tied record with New Orleans, but since they beat us twice in the regular season, they will get home-field advantage next week in our first playoff game.
