The owners of the Northlake Mall have just purchased an 11-acre piece of land bordering the current mall where it is now planning on developing a 200,000 square foot “lifestyle component,” connecting the mall’s main entrance to the new facility on the perimeter of the current property.
Full plans and renderings for the new addition will be released later this year. The company has announced that the new development will include home furnishings, full-service and express restaurants, and several entertainment concepts and services.
“Starwood Retail Partners is pleased to be expanding Northlake Mall. This investment allows us to complete the vision that was proposed for Northlake 10 years ago, the new development will be designed to include home furnishings, full service and express restaurants as well as entertainment concepts and services.” remarked Scott Wolstein, the CEO of Starwood Retail Partners.
They expect the new expansion to be completed by late 2017.
