The Carolina Panthers’ legendary linebacker Luke Kuechly has just received the 2017 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award at the NFL Honors show this weekend.
According to the NFL, “The award is presented each year to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition.”
Each NFL team nominated 1 player, then fellow players voted on their favorite in December’s Pro Bowl ballot.

The award is no surprise to anyone who’s been following the Carolina Panthers – Kuechly is constantly giving back – just 2 days ago he was seen ladling soup for hungry families;
This week @CampbellsChunky donated 250,000 bowls of #ChunkyMaxx soup to the @HouseofCharity. Thank you to @CampbellSoupCo + the @NFL for letting me be a part of something so impactful to the #SuperBowl community! #FootballIsFamily #FuelYourHustle pic.twitter.com/r9yb5YA5jy
