Ford Motor Company has just confirmed another death in a 2006 Ford Ranger from a defective Takata airbag inflator. They are now urging the owners of a dozen different Ford Models to stop driving the vehicles immediately and bring them to a local Ford Dealership to get replacement parts.
Millions of vehicles are now being recalled to replace faulty Takata airbag inflators, according to Ford’s official recall. “Takata has determined that propellant degradation can rupture the airbag inflator. If the airbag is deployed, a ruptured inflator can send parts toward the vehicle occupants, resulting in injury or death.”
There are currently a total of 21 deaths that are believed to be linked to the Takata inflators that can rupture and send deadly metal fragments, most of which occurred in Honda vehicles.

Toyota is recalling the following;
Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix, Scion xB, Lexus IS 250 and 350 and Lexus IS-F from the 2009, 2010 and 2013 model years.
Toyota 4-Runner, Lexus IS 250C and 350C and Lexus GX 460 from the 2010 and 2013 model years.
Toyota Yaris and Lexus ES 350 from the 2009 and 2010 model years.
Toyota Sienna from the 2013 model year.
Honda is recalling the following;
Acura RL and Honda Accord from the 2009-2012 model years.
