A Lake Norman bus driver has just been charged with child abuse after a middle-school student claimed she forced him off his school bus for misbehaving.
The indicate occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s report.
After being kicked off his bus, the 12-year-old East Iredell Middle School student knocked on the door of a residence in the Bell Farm Road area and asked the resident to call his mother.
The boy’s mother then called the police and recounted her son’s story to deputies.
43-year-old Maria Victoria Sanchez, a bus driver and teacher’s assistant at East Iredell Middle School, has now been charged with Misdemeanor Child Abuse.
She will face trial on May 1, 2017.
