The massive ride is being organized in order to raise funds for Lake Norman’s largest new public park. The East Lincoln Rescue Park will feature two multipurpose athletic fields, acres of green space, shelters, a disc golf course, and the areas biggest dog park.

The park will also become the host site of the annual Denver Days festival in Lincoln County.

There will be a Bojangles breakfast for all riders starting at 7:30 a.m. at Beatty’s Ford Park, followed by the official launch of the ride at 8:15 a.m on August 22nd.

Participants will ride down to Cowan’s Ford Dam at the bottom of Lake Norman, then ride the entire length of the lake and finish at the Lookout Shoals Dam in Catawba County.

There will be a pizza party at the end of the ride near Governor’s Island for all participants and their guests.

DAM2DAM Riders must register in online at www.mylkn.com/DAM2DAM. Entry is $35 per rider – additional family members are $25 each.
