Global Manufacturer Moving To Charlotte With 200 New Jobs Starting At $139k/year

A major manufacturer from Jonson City, Tennessee just announced plans to move their entire headquarters to the Queen City, including a new $10 million facility and 200 new jobs with a starting salary of $139,900 per year.

NN, Inc. is an industrial manufacturer of high-precision metal and plastic components and assemblies for a variety of markets around the world. The company currently has 33 manufacturing plants in North AmericaWestern EuropeEastern EuropeSouth America and China.

According to their official press release, they made the decision to move their headquarters to Charlotte in order to improve their access to customers and to work closer to more advanced infrastructure and enhanced logistics.

Richard Holder, President and CEO, commented, “Relocating our headquarters to Charlotte, a national transportation hub with global accessibility, aligns closely with our strategy of building a diversified industrial business by being closer to our customers and ensuring greater collaboration between our business units. As a company focused on technology and innovation, NN will benefit from Charlotte’s enhanced infrastructure, as well as its growing talent pool and robust business climate.”

The company will be leasing 50,000 square feet in South Charlotte’s Waverly development at the intersection of Providence Road and Ardrey Kell Road;

The N.C. Economic Investment Committee voted to give the company $2.8 million in incentives, with another $288,000 in incentives coming locally from the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

The company will be hiring 175 of the 200 positions here in Charlotte and they will be moving the other 25 from their current headquarters in Johnson City, TN.
