Thankfully there have no yet been any injuries reported in a major fire that erupted today in Rock Hill’s Richmond Drive Elementary School.
Officials said that the blaze was contained to a section of new construction within the school, and once it spread to the roof, it was eventually put out by local firefighting crews.
Children were quickly bused to the Winthrop Coliseum where parents are now being asked to pick up their kids from. There was a 30-minute delay for school bus routes across the Rock Hill district as a result of the incident.
