Epic Time-Lapse Video Of The Demolition Of South End’s Historic Pepsi Building

South Blvd.’s historic Pepsi Building was demolished in the middle of one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the country. The building was leveled to make way for Lennar’s newest development, The New Bern Station Apartments.

Over the course of about 6 weeks, the team at Trifecta used 3 excavators and 2 skid steers to turn the 97,000 square foot building into 14,000 tons of rubble.

We put together this quick video showing a time-lapse of the demolition:

The old Pepsi building was originally built in 1966 and was used for local for bottling and distribution of all of Pepsi’s products.

Pepsi has since moved their South End operations up to a bigger facility in Harrisburg, NC.
