Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, will celebrate the opening of its 50th store in the Charlotte metro with 50 cent medium hot or iced coffee and donuts at all Charlotte locations on Oct. 21.
The 50th store, located in Concord, will host a Grand Opening event called Kickin’ Cancer with Coffee, benefitting the Bring it 4 Braylon Foundation.
If the community purchases 500 cups of coffee throughout the day, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $5 per cup to the charity.

6:30-7 a.m. One Guest Wins Year of Free Coffee
Mayor Padgett will be behind the counter to serve one guest, and surprise him or her with a year of free coffee.
7-7:30 a.m. Kickin’ Cancer with Coffee Dance-Off
Braylon Beam, local child cancer survivor, will lead Concord firefighters and policemen in a DJ-fueled dance-off against one another. Mayor Padgett will crown the champion.
7-9 a.m. Free Coffee (Concord location only)
All guests may enjoy a free medium-sized coffee.
George Ross is the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee for the new location and currently operates 36 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in North Carolina. Ross currently has seven additional stores under construction, which are slated to open in 2017. The first Dunkin’ Donuts in Charlotte opened in 2004.
“As my team and I celebrate this milestone, we want to give back to the community that has been so kind to us by offering specials on some of Dunkin’ Donuts guest-favorites, supporting a local charity, and recognizing some local heroes,” comments Ross. “With the Kickin’ Cancer with Coffee event, Dunkin’ Donuts and the local community can together support the Bring it 4 Braylon Foundation, and help to alleviate the burden that sick children and their families face every day.”
Now open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, the restaurant employs approximately 28 crew members. The location serves a complete menu featuring Dunkin’ Donuts’ world famous freshly-brewed Hot and Iced Coffees, along with Espresso, Cappuccino and Lattes, and the recently introduced Macchiato. The brand’s beverage offerings also include Hot and Iced Teas, Smoothies made with real fruit and low-fat yogurt, Hot Chocolates and Coolatta® frozen beverages. Dunkin’ Donuts also serves a full lineup of delicious donuts, bakery goods and sandwiches. All Dunkin’ Donuts menu items are always available any time of day, and guests are encouraged to customize their favorite food and beverages.
