With the addition of Charlotte’s newest high-rise apartment community, Ascent Uptown, the Queen City takes one more step to becoming a truly world-class city.
The new mixed-use development will feature 300 apartment homes, over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor rooftop amenity space on floors 32 and 33 and 4,000 square feet of retail located on the ground floor.
I recently had the privilege of visiting the progress on the Ascent Uptown, here’s a video I made, showing a taste of what new residents can expect:

The community will offer studio, one and two-bedroom apartment homes and penthouses ranging in size from 472 to 1,384 square feet of living space. Designer interior finishes will include quartz countertops, custom high-gloss cabinetry and wood style plank flooring. Features will include chef-inspired kitchens with Bosch and GE appliances, Nest® Thermostats, Bluetooth® entry locks on every home, built-in USB ports, nine-foot ceilings, spa inspired bathrooms and oversized walk-in closets. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every home will provide amazing unobstructed views of the Charlotte skyline and surrounding area.
The eco-friendly community is being built to meet LEED Silver certification by the United States Green Building Council. Just as important as beauty and elegance is what lies within. Ascent Uptown isn’t just sleek and sexy; it will be modern and efficient. Our innovative water-powered heating and cooling system will be incredibly energy-efficient, resulting in an 80% total savings on electricity costs. Additionally, the ENERGY STAR® appliances and high-efficiency fixtures help limit water and energy waste. Ascent Uptown will be both beautiful and smart.
Ascent Uptown will feature two floors of rooftop amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, cool-down lounge, entertainment kitchen, spaces for entertaining guests and conference rooms. Residents will enjoy a rooftop swimming pool with a spacious sundeck, cabanas, grilling stations and fire pit.
A two-level outdoor observation deck will provide unbroken views of Romare Bearden Park, the Charlotte Knights stadium and the Uptown skyline. The pet-friendly community will include extensive rooftop landscaping, a pet spa, bicycle storage and a controlled access parking garage with generous guest parking.
