joedance-film-festival-charlotteCharlotte’s annual Joedance Film Festival is almost here!

The Joedance Film Festival honors the late Joe Restaino and helps to raise awareness and funds for rare pediatric cancer research at the Levine Children’s Hospital.

It also helps to promote the local film industry by showcasing only films with a local Charlotte connection.

They are currently still seeking submissions from local filmmakers who:

*reside in Charlotte; or

*be originally from Charlotte or

*be connected to Charlotte (films, cast or crew)

There is no fee to submit a film.

Visit www.joedance.org for more film submission details.

They will announce the selected films this coming weekend at a free reception Sunday, July 16, 2017, 4-6 p.m., at Dandelion Market (118 W. 5th Street) in Uptown Charlotte. Food will be provided by Dandelion Market.

The festival itself will be held August 4-5, 2017, 8-11 p.m., in Fourth Ward’s 10th Street Townhomes Courtyard.

All proceeds and donations will go to support rare pediatric cancer research at the Levine Children’s Hospital.
