A full-grown black bear is now being spotted by several residents around the streets and neighborhoods of Waxhaw, NC.
The bear was first spotted by several drivers on Marvin Road:

and was later seen near Airport Rd.

Waxhaw resident Stacy Watkins caught this footage of the black bear trying to take one of her garbage bags on her outdoor Nest Camera:
Waxhaw Police are now warning people to stay away from the bear and to call 911 if you spot it. Black bears typically do their best to avoid people, unless they feel threatened.
