$25,000 Reward Offered For Any Information About Man Who Murdered Local Police Officer

officer-tim-brackeen-reward-offered-2Local and state agencies are now offering a reward of $25,000 for any information that might lead to the arrest of the man who shot and killed Shelby, NC police officer Tim Brackeen.

Shelby police Officer Tim Brackeen was serving a warrant for 23-year-old Irving Fenner Jr. in the area of Parkview Street when Fenner allegedly shot Brackeen in the stomach this past weekend.

Officer Brackeen passed away Monday morning in Charlotte’s Carolinas Medical Center.

“It is with a heavy heart that I send this release.Today at 11:42am Officer Tim Brackeen passed away at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte due to the injuries he received from the shooting on Saturday, September 10, 2016. At this time our department asks for everyone to keep Officer Brackeen’s family and the entire department in their thoughts and prayers,” Shelby Police Chief Jeff Ledford wrote in a statement.
